welcome to blue sky wild! We are a literate-advanced, mature, supernatural western roleplay staged in the heart of the American West in 1872 and exploring the tale of how the west was won! Our tale is set in the fictional land of the Northwind Basin, the land surrounding the two towns of Blackacre and Twin Gulch that sit on the border between New Mexico and Texas territories. As if gunslingers and bandits weren't enough to cause trouble for the Basin's folks, werewolves and vampires roam these parts at night raising hell for anyone they meet. With a war brewing between the werewolves and the vampire coven while the townsfolk remain unaware, whose side will you be on?

Blackacre's town square is the large plaza in the center of town and was the original plot before the city expanded. It's home to the general store, specialty shops, cookhouse, and is where all of the festivals and celebrations happen.

The Buckhorn Saloon is a Blackacre establishment that has been in the same spot since the city was founded - and it's been full every since. If the man slinging the drinks behind the bar doesn't welcome you with a smile, it means they're probably closed... which of course they never are. Many folks stop in for a hot meal, a warm bed, or a good bourbon on the regular.

Most of Blackacre's economy stems from the livestock and horse trade that funnels into the town through the rest of basin. The livery and stockyards are the town's most notable feature and are always hustling with trade and activity.

Twin Gulch isn't quite as large as Blackacre so most of their businesses all reside on the main stretch of town. The general store and other businesses can be found here.

With the spirits always flowing and the girls always showing, you won't find a classier saloon and brothel in the entire county. The Henbane is owned and run by the Grayhollow gang and is considered a primary safehouse for their members, doubling as a very profitable and lucrative investment. Housing the hottest blackjack tables, serving the best drinks, and employing the most accommodating women, it's no small wonder that the Henbane is always busy.

Twin Gulch is know for two things: the girls at the Henbane and the railyards. All of the trains converge on Twin Gulch before heading out to the basin, so they are constantly trafficking new and fresh goods into the city. Though half the size of Blackacre, Twin Gulch is bustling as a trade city to the basin's more cultured residents.

To the north of the basin is a small mountain range that separates the counties. The Northwind Basin takes its name from this collection of small mountain passes and forests that make up most of the land to the north. The Farrow Creek runs through the mountains and is home to the Bitter Falls Outpost, the homestead of the Farrow Creek pack.

The large, open plains between Twin Gulch and Blackacre are known as the basin valley. It is home to the actual twin gulches from where the nearby town takes its name, and deep within one gulch lies an old abandoned silver mine that the Grayhollow gang use as a hideout. Wide, open landscape as far as the eye can see.

To the east of Blackacre and Twin Gulch the open plains dissolve into a deep, thick forest of trees. The local hunters like to find elk and boar here, but the deeper you venture the more likely you are to become the hunted. The Conclave has set up a compound deep within the woods aptly named the Deadwood in an abandoned manor.

Not all the folks of the basin live in Blackacre or Twin Gulch. Many little homesteads dot the landscape, whether it's a sprawling hundred acre ranch, or just a small shack of your own by the river.
